Immediately after the lockdown began in March, many labourers lost their jobs in India and they wanted to back tot heir native places. But there was no train or bus to travel. So,many of them started walking thousands of kilometeres to their homes. This lead to a pathetic situation with pregnant ladies, children and old people walking in the hot sun with their meager belongings.Affected by this,I began a series called 'migration.I too did not have canvas or materials to work. All I had was paper and needle and thread. So,I started stitching and telling their tales. Here,I am posting a few .hope u would like them.

Hi,everybody,I am posting after quite some time.It is to be expected since we are all going through a pandemic situation.Howsoever,I have been utilising this opportunity also for quite contemplation and creative work.By the way,I my project 'tracing the trajectory of traffic police was selected by Goethe institute and Raqs media collective as part of 'five million incidents.I began my project by visiting various traffic intersections, observing the police in action and public behaviour too.I have made a good documentation.By March 2020,lockdown was imposed in Delhi. So,I could not go out much. But I came to know that traffic police were doing lot of duties related to covid 19 like educating the public on the importance of using masks and hand sanitisers .This provided a new perspective to my project.I am posting my blogs in Hemavathy guha paintings and projects on fb.l.check out.
